Been really been too busy to blog recently.

Plenty of changes in my life, Single for about 1 month++ now after 2 1/2 years of seeing someone.

Doing better at work, cleaning up my act, going to be more focused, get my license done this year.

Will hopefully get my car mid next year.

More focused on work now.

Dieting but still lazy to run or exercise regularly.

Part of being a salesman requires me to be well groomed, hence the extraordinary effort being put in now. I've got a long way to go.

A good female friend/colleague of mine, her boyfriend hates me because he feels threatened by me. Doesn't help that my friend is being anal and doesn't want me to talk things out with him. Yes, he gives a black face whenever he sees me. He's a moron.

Fascinating Facts About Internet Sex

Anna North — You already know that everything under the sun is available as Internet porn. But in a new book, two scientists investigate what our online porn searches say about human sexuality. Their work isn't without its problems, but they turn up some pretty interesting data on age, body size — and dicks.

In A Billion Wicked Thoughts, Ogi Ogas and Sai Gaddam examine people's Internet porn preferences through data from search engines like Dogpile and AOL and porn sites like Fantasti.cc and PornHub. They also look at depictions of sex and love in fanfiction and romance novels. In addition to a fascinating array of charts and examples, they offer some pretty pat — and often unsupported — assertions about men's and women's sexuality. I could spend a whole post critiquing their statements on gender and the brain (many of which are called into question by Cordelia Fine's excellent Delusions of Gender) or poking holes in generalizations like, "Men do not have sexual cues relating to their self." But I'm less interested in what's wrong with A Billion Wicked Thoughts than in what's cool about it: a bunch of fascinating facts about porn. A sampling:
Women look at Internet porn, but they're much less likely to pay for it.

Ogas and Gaddam write,

The most popular paysites featuring adult videos, including Brazzers, Bang Bros, and Reality Kings, typically attract an audience that is around 75 percent men. Of course, that does mean that one out of four visitors is a woman — a minority, though a significant minority. But when it comes to actually paying for porn, the gender gap widens into an abyss. According to CCBill, the billing service most commonly used by the online adult industry, only 2 percent of all subscriptions to pornography sites are made on credit cards with women's names. In fact, CCBill even flags female names as potential fraud, since so many of these charges result in an angry wife or mother demanding a refund for the misuse of her card.

MILFs are as popular as nineteen-year-olds.

It's true that "youth" is one of the most popular search terms in Internet porn. But when Ogas and Gaddam looked at searches for specific ages, they found something interesting — while teens were indeed popular, so were older women:

Though the popularity of adult women doesn't quite reach the stratospheric heights of teens, it's worth observing that more men search for fifty-year-olds than search for nineteen-year-olds. There is a rather shocking number of searches for underage women, but you may be equally surprised to discover there is significant erotic interesting in sixty- and seventy-year-olds.

The authors note, amusingly, that "almost no academic research has been done investigating the appeal of MILFs." However, they speculate that interest in MILF porn may have to do with the older performers' perceived aggression and self-confidence, as well as their "large, round butts."

Plenty of guys think grannies are hot.

According to Ogas and Gaddam, "out of the 42,337 sites on the Alexa Adult List [a list of the most popular porn sites], 313 are granny sites." Such porn is especially popular in Britain — one "adult industry veteran" says "there's a lot of interest in older ladies from the Brits because when a lot of them were schoolboys they were spanked or slapped or pinched by a schoolmarm." The authors quote a Granny Sex Forum user named LoveSelsie, describing a new love interest: "She was about 5 foot 5 inches tall and just a little fluffy. Her hair was gray, short and straight. She was a very appealing lady and I wanted to get to meet her." They add, "It's worth observing that LoveSelsie focuses on the visual attractiveness of GILFs, as do many other granny fans." Shocking indeed!

More men search for fat women than for skinny ones.

Ogas and Gaddam write,

Adjectives describing body size (such as "chubby" and "thin") are the third most frequent category of adjectives appearing in Dogpile searches. Are most of these searches seeking the slender bodies of cover models? For every search for a "skinny" girl, there are almost three searches for a "fat" girl. [...] On the Alexa Adult List, there are more than 504 adult sites explicitly dedicated to heavy ladies (such as Fat Tube, Sugar Fat Girls, and Hippo Girls), and only 182 explicitly dedicated to skinny ones (such as Skinny Teens Naked).

However, the authors also point out that "the majority of women in mainstream porn are skinnier than average."

Guys — even straight guys — love looking at dicks.

Ogas and Gaddam cite an eye-tracking study finding that "men consistently direct their gaze to the male crotch, though women rarely do so." They also note that "out of the hundred top-rated images on [adult content aggregator] Fantasti.cc, twenty-one feature close-up shots of a penis." Surely some of these fans must be gay visitors, but straight men like seeing penises too — and many prefer big ones:

There are 1,072 Web sites in the Alexa Adult List that feature heterosexual porn with large penises such as Monsters of Cock, Mr.Biggz, and Teens Like It Big. The number of Alexa sites devoted to small penises? Just three: PinkyDick, Little-Cock, and My Tiny Dick.

And it's not just porn aficionados who are interested in other guys' dicks:

[A]mong the Walbiri and Aranda people, when grievances need to be settled, the men participate in what is known as the penis-offering rite, which is said to represent "paying with one's life." Each man presents his semi-erect penis to all the others, pressing it into each man's palm and drawing it along the length of the upturned hand.

Trans women are popular in porn, and their audience is mostly straight dudes.

According to Ogas and Gaddam, "T-girl" is one porn term for "a transsexual woman who has been treated with hormones so that she possesses breasts and a female figure but still possesses a penis." The authors say, "if you categorize the sites on the Alexa Adult List by the names of the sites, then T-girl sites are the fourth most popular category of adult Web site." Also, "'shemales' is the sixteenth most popular sexual search on Dogpile, more popular than 'butts,' 'threesomes,' and 'interracial sex.'" So who's doing the searching? Ogas and Gaddam quote Housekeeper, operator of several transsexual porn sites:

My main audience, and the audience for most shemale porn, are straight dudes. That's how it's always been. I will say that all of the visitors to transsexual sites are straight.

They also quote a fan of T-girl porn: "I like her soft looks, sexy body. Very nice long legs. And then there's that added bonus ... I can't really explain why it affects me."

Rather than using these facts to make sweeping statements about the difference between men and women, it's more useful to recognize that a lot of the generalizations people make about desire, especially male desire, just aren't true. At least in private, not all straight men are looking for thin, young ciswomen — or even for ciswomen at all. And what Internet porn can teach us is that while there may be some differences in sexual preferences between genders, there's enormous variation within them.

New faces flamed online

NEW People's Action Party (PAP) candidates may have been prepared beforehand for a frosty reception in cyberspace, but the speed and malice with which some of them are being picked apart online have come as a shock.

Within days and sometimes hours of their introduction to the media as PAP candidates, private pictures and even court documents have been dug up and disseminated online, and forums lit up with debate and speculation.

Although the new candidates admit that the sound and fury of cyberspace has taken them aback, they say they are trying to tune out the most vicious comments and focus on working the ground for the coming general election.

The two female candidates introduced thus far have been the subject of the most intense scrutiny online.

Pictures from the Facebook account of the PAP's youngest female candidate, 27-year-old business consultant Tin Pei Ling, showing her posing with a Kate Spade shopping bag or with her husband on holiday, were posted on various websites and blogs.

Netizens have also raged over her young age, and alleged that her being fielded was due to her husband's position as principal private secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

In the case of Ms Foo Mee Har, the Standard Chartered banker, an application for a bankruptcy order against a Mr Bernard Chan, who netizens claim is her husband, has spread to various forums.
The fact that she became a Singaporean only in 2008 has also come under heavy fire online

THE woman who pitted Holland Village against the heartlanders of Singapore has apologised on public radio.
She once again called 91.3FM's The Married Men on Friday morning and said that she wanted to retract her words expressed on radio in the above show, about the heartlanders of Singapore.
Known only as Samantha, she further explained that she was at a Starbucks outlet at Holland Village on Wednesday when she heard vulgarities from two men dressed in slippers and shorts.
She was ticked off by their actions and dressing and decided to call in to 91.3FM's The Married Men - on Wednesday - to rant.
It caused a stir online among netizens, and on Facebook too among friends who found links to the broadcast segment.
The show has a daily segment for Singaporeans to call in and air their grievances. Nothing is off limits as the station does not want to restrict its listeners.
Samantha began her rant about heartlanders and their alleged invasion of Holland Village.
'Oh gosh, I live in Holland Village and I just can't understand why people from the heartlands want to come here, because we people are cultured and you heartlanders are definitely not cultured.'
HEARTLANDERS
She went on to define heartlanders as people who lived in areas such as 'Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Toa Payoh and 'the nearby Bukit Batok'.
When asked how she could tell that somebody was a heartlander, she cheekily said that heartlanders were easily identifiable. She said they had no manners, talked loudly and wore cheap clothes 'like those you buy off Bugis Street'.
One of her qualms with heartlanders was that they liked to 'shove and push' everybody. She added that some Caucasians along Orchard Road had also complained of the same thing.
91.3FM then opened the telephone lines once again and another woman, Maddy, called in to express her views.
She introduced herself as living in Bedok. To this, Samantha let out an audible 'Oh my God' in the phone exchange on radio.
The two argued for five minutes. Maddy defended heartlanders, stating that they are 'pretty much well-educated and pretty much carry themselves well'.
Samantha refused to give in and said that heartlanders needed to stay were they were.
Maddy asked her: 'Every heartlander earns their money, so why can't we go (to Holland Village)?'
To this, Samantha questioned heartlanders' ability to afford the things that people in Holland Village enjoyed, such as a bowl of laksa, which she claims is more expensive in Holland Village than in Bedok.
Deejay and host Rod Monteiro stopped the discussion due to time constraints, but that didn't stop other listeners from calling in throughout the day to express their amazement and anger at Samantha's comments. Not one caller supported Samantha and her comments in any way.
The blogosphere also reacted strongly to the stories and many outraged netizens began to attack Samantha and her opinions.
After a day of reflection, Samantha decided to make the public apology.
However, it seems that this isn't enough for some listeners, who later called in and complained about the insincerity of Samantha's apology.
Mr Monteiro admits that he was put off by Samantha's comments, but told The Straits Times Online that he did understand where she was coming from - a place of anger.
'Everybody says things they don't mean when they're angry...three hours later...they look back and ask themselves 'Did I really say that?' he added.

I'm sorry but her "outburst" on radio shows, shows she has absolutely no culture and obviously not rich enough.

Holland village does have have a nice bohemian feel to it, but it still an area with HDB flats nearby. And I thought the cool "cultured" people nowadays head over to Dempsey Hill, but then I've heard plenty of people go there now, so it's lost the special feel.

I wonder if she's just angry with herself not being rich enough to stay at Sentosa Cove, where the commoners/"uncultured" people won't be able to visit at whim. ;)

For those who don't know what's a SPG.

The general concept is that that SPGs, prefer Caucasian men based purely on their color as their main priority.

I agree with my friend's comment:

Well, many ang mos see Asian women as exciting, exotic things.

Likewise, I think SPGs see ang mos as exotic fuzzy big exciting friendly golden retrievers, ie big teddy bears.

LOS ANGELES: A US student whose "appalling" anti-Asian and anti-Japanese rant went viral on YouTube announced Friday she was quitting college, after receiving death threats.

The University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) undergraduate said the video had led to "the harassment of my family ... death threats and being ostracised from an entire community.

"Accordingly, for personal safety reasons, I have chosen to no longer attend classes at UCLA," added the student, in her third year studying political science, in a letter to campus newspaper The Daily Bruin.

In the YouTube clip she lashed out at the "hordes of Asian people" at UCLA. Speaking in a fake Asian language -- "Ohhhh. Ching chong ling long ting tong" -- she chastised them notably for talking on their cellphones in the library.

"In America, we do not talk on our cell phones in the library," she said in the three-minute clip, adding: "If you're gonna come to UCLA, then use American manners."

She continued: "I swear they're going through their whole families, just checking on everybody from the tsunami thing. I mean, I know, that sounds horrible. I feel sorry for all the people affected by the tsunami.

"But if you're going to go call your address book, like you might as well go outside, because, if something is wrong, you might really freak out and you're in the libtary, and everybody's quiet.

UCLA chancellor Gene Block condemned the comments earlier in the week as "appalling" and said the video did not represent the views of the university community.

In her letter to the Daily Bruin Friday, the student said she was "trying to produce a humorous YouTube video," but instead "offended the UCLA community and the entire Asian culture."

"I am truly sorry for the hurtful words I said and the pain it caused to anyone who watched the video," she wrote.

"Especially in the wake of the ongoing disaster in Japan, I would do anything to take back my insensitive words. I could write apology letters all day and night, but I know they wouldn't erase the video from your memory."

So you posted a picture of my friends, a couple at Cathay, made rude comments about the guy's appearance and my female friend's dressing. People you don't know and never spoken to.

I commented and tried to be friendly, even though it was obvious you were insulting my friends.

My friends are also on Facebook, the boyfriend saw on my news feed and asked me to pass his response. If you don't want people to see, you should seriously change your face profile privacy settings.

You deleted the messages from my friend that I posted, and then you messaged me on msn, that it was inappropriate of me to post my friend's reply. So it was appropriate for you to sneak pictures of people, make rude remarks of them. But it was inappropriate of me to offer them a chance to respond to you?

Then you started ranting at me accusing "us", of being prejudiced against SPGs. You said: "We hate you because you're the SPG that all of us hate."

HELLO? My best female buddy also only prefers to date Caucasian men. I've got no problem nor quarrel with people's preferences, as long as they do not put down others.

I know plenty of Caucasian expats who come here, have already heard stories from their friends who've been to Singapore.

"Asian girls in certain clubs are easy, the women throw themselves at Caucasian expats." Just exactly like the Thai discos in Thailand, that everyone talk about.

The story is: "All a Caucasian guy has to do is to spend a little money in those clubs, the women will cozy up to them, and try to fuck their way into a relationship with them hopefully to get the guy to marry them." The Caucasian expats barely have to try. They get sex and company for the few years that they are here, and when the time comes to leave Singapore, some of them just head back home to their wives/gfs back in their home country.

I'm not saying all of them are like that, but plenty come here already with the impression, that they come here and immediately become "hot shit on a stick with rice" because the girls here are easy.

I would like to give special note that: I've got nice Caucasian friends who met their soul mate here and got married.

I guess for the insecure people, the need to prove themselves to possess something, that they believe is better than others, to reassure themselves is pretty common. There are a multitude of reasons why people choose to be with, who they want to be with. It's kinda silly to ask others, what their opinion is because generally the more honest friends, might say things that you won't like to hear. ( duh.. then don't ask! )

I've been staring at my own reflection in the mirror.

Thinking of all the things I ever wanted to do, needed to do, should have done, wished I had done differently; but I didn't, couldn't, chose not to.

I've already wasted almost 30 years and 8 months of my life.

It's time for a change of scenery.

How I've chose to interact, respond, work, communicate in the past.
The painful memories, invariably are but figments of the past.
I shall erase all traces of the past, and look forward to the future.

If I am able to speak my mind clearly to all those around me, not just people who are close to me, would make my life happier and easier.

My tendency to repress anger or unhappiness is unhealthy and invariably helps nothing. It is dangerous, for I have a tendency overreact when I snap.

Excuses; for why not to do anything or something or to communicate my mind due to concerns about how other people feel or how people will react, gets me nowhere.

People in the world do things to you, only as much as you allow them to.

I should not be afraid to let the world feel and know who I am as a person.

For too long I've invariably avoided looking at myself in the mirror.

I will continue staring into the mirror everyday, to make sure I become who I want to be.
